A hand cycle was recently donated to Bicycle Queensland and it needs to go to a good home. It appears to be for a very specific type of disability. We believe it is operated by sitting on the seat and leaning forward on the chest pad to enable the hand controls to be turned. The back wheels are slightly dished and it looks like it could be used on a criterium track or perhaps for just general cycling on a bike path/road.
UPDATE: The hand cycle has found a good home with Mates4Mates - the support group for veterans. They advise it will probably be sent to their Townsville rehab centre where the need is greatest.
