  The latest WOW program has just come to a close, and we have lots of happy ladies who have found new cycling partners, new skills and even new bikes! From Limestone Park to Robelle Domain, and Bundamba to Brassall – we’ve explored meandering paths, taken tight corners, conquered a few hills and woo-hooed it right to the bottom again. Tyres were changed, road safety experienced and friendships cemented. Thank you Ipswich City Council for providing this wonderful program!   Have you got a bike and need someone to ride with.  Come ride with us.  Our Ride with Friends group rides a lot: Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 2 hour rides from starting at 6am.   Saturday and Sunday- 3 to 5 hour rides - see the calendar Casual membership is $25 per ride.  Ride 6 times with us and your 7th ride is free.  Come along and join in the fun.     On Jane's daily cycle commute she discovered a new piece of green bike lane.  It's not very long but it's in a location where there is a lot of bicycle and car interaction.  To proceed straight ahead, bicycle riders have to manoeuvre across a lane of moving traffic which has the option to turn left across the rider.  While there is no physical separation on this green bike lane, it does provide a visual cue for car drivers to expect bicycle riders to move across them if they are turning left.  The new green bike lane is on Stanley Street,  just...

The first night ride provided an evening encounter with a large python which was exiting the mangroves to spend the night in a tree next to the bike path.  Our first two riders rode over the snake's tail before realising their error....  the rest of us came to a very sudden stop and waited until Mr or Ms Snake had lithered across the bike path and into the tree.  It stretched from one side of the bike path to the other, with a fair bit hanging over each side ... in other works, quite a large snake!!  Happy to report it...
