Our adventure begins on the vehicle barge to Macleay Island - keep an eye out for sea life during the barge ride. We pass by Karragarra Island on the way to our destination of Macleay Island. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
The cycling begins when you step off the barge onto lovely scenic Macleay Island, the prettiest island in the group. We have chosen a route which takes you to as many viewing points as possible and circles the island.
We will stop and have a break at Campbell Lookout before we ride along to our lunch spot at Pat's Park. Make sure you bring your packed lunch to enjoy beside the water. This is a lovely park with all the conveniences including a swimming enclosure for any who dare to put more than their feet into the water, so remember to bring your togs and towel. After lunch we will complete the circular ride of the island and head for a coffee shop for afternoon tea, before we board the barge for home and our normal lives.
